Understanding Different Types of Scars
Keloid Scars: Raised scars that extend beyond the original injury site. They can grow larger over time and might be red or darker than the surrounding skin.
Contracture Scars: Typically result from burns. These scars tighten the skin, which can impair your ability to move. They may also go deeper, affecting muscles and nerves.

Normal Fine-line Scars:

For people with paler skin, the scar is more evident on tan skin; the scar tissue does not get tan.

How does Scar Camouflage AI work?
Scar camouflage uses pigments that match the skin to make the scar color blend with the surrounding skin. The results of scar camouflage can mimic the look of traditional makeup, which is a good thing when it comes to covering scars.
In this procedure, pigments are introduced to the upper dermal layer of the skin, through a single-use fine needle. Pigments are individually picked through AI detection technology and mixed to match the patient’s skin tone. The Skin Camouflage specialist will then use an electronic device to introduce the pigment into the area of skin that needs to be concealed.
The result of the treatment may vary depending on the condition and severity of the scar or stretch mark. Scar camouflage is generally not a one-time procedure as it may require a subsequent session for touch up (which is complimentary). In cases where the scar to be treated is darker in colour or the pigment absorption is not optimal, it may then take additional sessions to achieve the desired color. It is also important to remember that scar camouflage can only conceal the scar, not remove it.
A typical Scar Camouflage treatment can last up to 2 years depending on your lifestyle habits and each individual's skin absorption of the pigment.
For the scar camouflage results to last longer, we do advise our clients to prepare and condition the area a week before by undergoing a session of PDRN infusion at the targeted area to enhance the growth factors and facilitate better pigment absorption. Following the procedure, it is also recommended to apply growth factor serums on the treated area to enhance pigment retention and recovery rates.
